Purpose and Practice

What is Repentance?

Repentance is a transformation of mind. It is seeing things through God’s eyes. You hate what God hates and love what God loves. The mirror of repentance is faith. The point of leaving sin behind is to trust and love God.

What is Radical Amputation?

Jesus says in Mathew 5:28-30:

I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

You have to be willing to be done with even good things in your life if it leads you to sin.

What is Restructuring?

Restructuring is the result of repentance and radical amputation. You now see things differently and are willing to live differently as a result.
